How are interviews to get full funding in USA?
full funding in USA ,In the USA, funding is centralized and managed by professors. Even though you apply for funding centrally and don’t email professors, they can interview you. Most of the time they take it. They rarely give funds without an interview. I call these interviews simply gorgeous. Because in these they don’t ask a lot of questions but your attitude to answer matters a lot in this place. They want to interview you just to vet you a little better. Evaluation is already done once with your SOP, CV, GRE-IELTS, CGPA, Publications. That means getting covered in the interview means it is your last test. If you have passed this, then you have passed this Bhavatari.
What questions do they usually ask in interviews and how can you answer them?
1) Why are you interested in our program?
Answer: I am interested in doing research in this field. I saw this professor of this department works on this topic. I have worn some of their articles. I have seen so and so do this. Tamuk does this work that way. So I think if I get a chance in this department then I can apply to do research under their supervision. I believe that by doing research under their supervision, I will learn a lot that will help me move forward in my later life.
2) Tell us about your research experience?
Answer: I have done undergrad research project/thesis or I have done research on such and such topic in such and such research lab. This was my research methodology. I came to this conclusion from my research. While doing this research I found some research gaps. I think this topic needs to be researched in the future.
3) Which faculty would you be interested in working with if you get a chance here?
Answer: As I said earlier – what was said in response to the first question. Then discuss the recent papers of those persons in depth and say that I will be interested in doing research with them.
4) What will you do after graduation?
Answer: There is a national answer. It’s better to give. The answer is that I will return to the country. Come and join the faculty of a university. Then I will research the problems of my country.
5) Do you have any teaching experience?
Answer: Everyone is doing more or less tuition. Many have taught in coaching. So say here,
I worked as an instructor in a tutoring center for so many years. I have taken online and offline classes for high school students on this topic, taking their attendance, grading them, analyzing their progress. Also I maintained office hours for 2 hours every week. During this time my students would bring their weekly study problems and I would solve them.
6) Do you want to ask us any questions?
Answer: To prove yourself active, you should ask at least one question this time. The question may be,
Does your department have any breath exam from Eloud for Ph.D. How many exams are there? How many of them have to pass? How many times are there opportunities to give the exam?
7) Do you have any other questions?
Answer: Professor I know that completing Ph.D. depends on my own effort. I also want to know that it takes an approximate number of years to get a PhD from your department.
8) Another common question is, ‘Introduce Yourself‘
Answer: The answer should highlight your identity and the strong points of your application.
.
So this is how you can handle your interview. These are the questions I wrote down that usually do. However, they can do 2/1 questions outside of this. Then handle it with present intelligence. Hope you are getting the funding for the future.
